The Arrow Sudoku playbook

Read the aim of Arrow Sudoku, then make your first move. Solve the Sudoku and make the digits on each arrow path sum to the digit in its circle. Choose a clear next step rather than rushing through the instructions. Read the objective before making your first input. Check the relevant rule before repeating a move.

This collection contains 8 puzzles. Progress is saved in this browser. The same puzzle can appear again; the collection is not labelled with calibrated difficulty levels.

Bring this focus to a round

Locate the buttons and input area before beginning a long round. Use the on-screen labels to avoid an accidental restart. Refer to the controls when needed.

The purpose of your moves

Solve the Sudoku and make the digits on each arrow path sum to the digit in its circle. Use the instructions to see which actions move you towards it. Start with a deliberate move.

A walkthrough of the rules

  1. Select an editable cell.
  2. Enter a value using the keypad or keyboard; Notes stores candidates.
  3. Read the region, cage, arrow or outside clues alongside the normal constraints.
  4. Check entries verifies the completed board; Undo reverses your last input.
  5. New puzzle selects another included puzzle.

Choosing and moving on screen

Click or tap cells and the digit pad. Use Notes, Undo and Reveal selected. Large boards scroll inside the game. Keep the playing area visible while using these controls. Use one clear input at a time.

Learn from a sample situation

A circle 7 may have an arrow containing 3 and 4 when the normal Sudoku rules also allow it. Apply the same reasoning to the position in your own round. Look for the relevant detail.

An important reminder

A full board must obey every extra rule. Reveal supplies assistance; it is not an earned deduction. Take a moment to reassess the position before continuing. Take enough time to read a new position. If a game has a timer, learn its controls first rather than searching for them during the round.
